Fantastic
News: Nico has returned to the top 70 players in the world.
After reaching the final in Palermo and winning the Szczecin Challenger,
Nico's ranking rose to 68 and there is a hope it might go higher before the
end of this season. Although he lost the final to Filippo
Volandri, Nico was pleased overall with his performance
on court (this had been his 10th match in 13 days) and said afterwards
"Besides losing, I'm very happy with my performance during this
week and also during last week. Nobody expected me to suddenly come back
like this. I've been number 110 and now I'll be back in top 70. I can go
back home very calm and satisfied now, with a lot of motivation for the end
of the season and next year."
Current Tournament - Nico is resting this week (having withdrawn from the Challenger in Quito). Nico's next tournaments will be challengers in Colombia.
