Meet
- The Jenro TWIN - Nico's new tennis racket for 2003!JENRO, a US based company, specialising in research and development of sporting goods, decided 4 years ago to produce a tennis racket which would really bring innovation in a market that has known nothing new since fibers replaced wood in the construction of tennis rackets. Working in close collaboration with Nicolas Lapentti, JENRO first identified all the pros and cons of a regular tennis racket, having in mind the
impossible equation faced by all tennis racket manufacturers:
More stiffness = Less vibrations. "I met the JENRO people and we discussed about their dream: the 3rd millennium racket, a new 2 part concept, which allows you incredible performance. Right away, I was so exited that I decided to join the team and be a part of the Twin racket development. After many tests, I immediately felt that I could hit harder and faster than ever, a wish I was looking for since a long time." (Nicolas Lapentti) It appears that there are a lot of negative sides to a regular racket. The first of which is transport. Players have to go on the court with huge bags, in order to replace their racket when the string breaks. And if they wish to have a lot of power, they have to cope with high frequency vibrations, which disturb the control and touch feeling, and which also are the cause of tennis elbow.
The shaft and head are made out of graphite, allowing a very strong and light frame and the special construction of the TWIN, with its three branches and the double bridge, makes the frame even more rigid for maximum power! The vibration absorption comes from the " 3SSA", which is the shock absorber system. With the use of an artificial rubber, specially developed by JENRO, placed at all junction points, vibrations are reduced by about seven times, enabling a perfect touch and control of the ball! And if the string breaks, no worries! Just dismantle the head and mount another one on your shaft! Yes it is possible! And the twin is sold with two heads! So you can even leave one head to be restrung at your local dealer, and keep a racket to play. The look and the features of the TWIN make it the most innovative racket, tennis has ever known!!!
